English with Thai subtitles

When a car bomb explodes on the American side of the U.S./Mexico border, Mexican drug enforcement agent Miguel Vargas (Charlton Heston) begins his investigation, along with American police captain Hank Quinlan (Orson Welles).

Touch of Evil is a masterpiece of film noir, written, directed by, and co-starring Orson Welles. Along with Welles, the cast includes Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh, Joseph Calleia, Akim Tamiroff, and Marlene Dietrich. Since its release, the film's reputation has grown, and it is now widely regarded as one of Welles' best films, and also one of the best classic-era films noir.

“Having the Touch of Evil envisioned by our most creative filmmaker, is a wondrous gift no movie lover should miss.” Chicago Tribune

“Indeed, just to see and hear the extraordinary 3 minute and 20 second opening sequence -- a fluid tour de force tracking shot -- without impediment of opening credits and street-sound-masking movie score is accomplishment enough.” Entertainment Weekly

“A sweaty thriller conundrum on character and corruption, justice and the law, worship and betrayal, it plays havoc with moral ambiguities.” Time Out

“Where Mr. Welles soundly succeeds is in generating enough sinister electricity for three such yarns and in generally staging it like a wild, murky nightmare.” New York Times

“Touch of Evil may be the sleaziest good movie ever made.” Salon

“The film has always been a favorite of those who enjoy visual and dramatic flamboyance.” 4 Stars - Roger Ebert
