เนื่องในวันแรงงานข้ามชาติสากล ในวันที่ 18 ธันวาคม องค์การระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐาน (IOM) ร่วมกับ Bangkok Screening Room (BKKSR) หรือโรงหนังอิสระยุคดิจิตอลของกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้จัดเทศกาลภาพยนตร์แรงงานข้ามชาติสากลเป็นครั้งแรก เริ่มฉายตั้งแต่วันที่ 14 ธันวาคม - 18 ธันวาคม 2559 การจัดเทศกาลภาพยนต์ในครั้งนี้เป็นการให้ความสำคัญต่อแรงงานข้ามชาติที่ได้ทำประโยชน์ให้กับสังคมในหลาย ๆ เรื่อง
ภาพยนตร์จำนวน 6 เรื่องนี้ถ่ายทอดความสวยงามและเรื่องราวที่น่าสนใจของการย้ายถิ่นฐาน เรื่องเล่าอย่างไม่มีที่สิ้นสุดของการย้ายถิ่นฐานที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นบนโลกของเรา เรียบเรียงผ่านภาพถ่ายและการสื่ออารมณ์ที่ทุกวัฒนธรรมสามารถรับรู้ได้อย่างไร้พรมแดน เทศกาลภาพยนตร์นี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ “Together” ของสหประชาชาติอย่างเป็นทางการระดับสากล เพื่อส่งเสริมความหลากหลายและการรวมเป็นหนึ่งเดียว
เพื่อเป็นการสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับปัญหาการย้ายถิ่นต่อทุกคน ท่านสามารถเข้าชมโดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย และสามารถจองจองผ่านทางช่องทางออนไลน์หรือจองผ่านตัวแทนจาก Bangkok Screening Room (BKKSR) สำหรับท่านที่จองบัตรทางออนไลน์จะต้องมารับบัตร 15 นาทีก่อนเวลาที่โฆษณาเริ่มขึ้น หากไม่มารับก่อนช่วงเวลาดังกล่าวขอสงวนสิทธิให้กับผู้เข้าร่วมท่านอื่น
